Meet The Herd
Adeliade
Full of personality, Adelaide arrived from England alongside Penny and quickly made herself at home. She's affectionate when the mood takes her, fiercely protective when she's a mum, and never afraid to make her opinions known.
Angel
Angel's bright white fleece is every bit as striking as her name suggests. A fantastic mother with exceptional fleece quality, she's produced some beautiful offspring and remains one of the standout girls in the herd.
Emmy
Compact, gentle and easy to handle, she's particularly popular with younger visitors and has inherited plenty of her mother's character.

At the moment we occasionally welcome visitors to Harehill by appointment. In future, we plan to start hosting alpaca experiences, fibre workshops, alpaca picnics, and other events. Our Story
Our story began with a desire to build a different kind of life. After years living and working in central London, we returned home to County Down to create a family smallholding rooted in simple living, sustainability and community. What started with two alpacas to help guard our chickens from foxes quickly became a passion for these intelligent, gentle animals and the peaceful way of life they inspire.
Today, Harehill Alpacas is home to a carefully bred herd registered with the British Alpaca Society, where we place equal importance on health, temperament and fleece quality.
